Regular Meeting Minutes
June 1, 2010
Present: Edmond LaLiberte, Priscilla Lancaster, Marie Fredrickson, Mary Ann Lee
Absent: Debra Gaudette, Chairperson, Fran Rago, C Edwin Carlson
Approval of Minutes: Marie reported that there were no minutes for the month of May because the commission hosted the mayor’s breakfast.

New Business:
- Senior Picnic - Discussion for the Senior picnic being held on Tuesday, September 14th at the Pratt & Whitney Retiree’s club; the theme for this year is to be a Hawaiian luau. Lei’s will be passed out instead of candy bags. Lillian will be sending out letter for bids for the picnic. The menu consists of Hot Dogs, Hamburger, Macaroni Salad, Tossed salad, condiments, coffee, Ice Tea, soda, Water and there is to be one kind of Ice Cream(Dixie cups); Cost to the attendees is pending until the bids are in. Mentioned was the need for better spacing between the tables. Debbie is to contact DJ –Dale-“in the Grove” for entertainment. Mary Ann reported that the Mayor has been contacted and that Pratt & Whitney Retiree’s Club has been firmed up for our picnic.
- Michelle reported that the sales at “New to You” resulted in a $5,000 increase over last years sales. She also made mention that September is Senior Center Month.
- A brief critique of the Mayor’s breakfast followed resulted in limiting questions from guests to one and a follow up and will be by invitation only.
Adjournment: Motion to adjourn was made by Mary Ann Lee and seconded by Ed Laliberte. Meeting adjourned at 2:28 pm.
